Our recycling centre

Last year alone, we processed over 13k tonnes of recyclable materials

Our main recycling centre is based in Paignton and open to everyone who lives in Torbay. The online booking system, introduced during COVID, has been a great success, and means visitors can avoid lengthy queues. The centre accepts most recyclable materials and also has a dedicated garden waste drop off point. We have invested in new equipment, including a new baling machine for our recyclable materials. This machine allows us to process materials much more quickly, and creates bales that are over 250% denser than previously. This means we can reduce the number of lorries needed to collect the bales from our site, saving over 16k transport miles. The centre is also home to our public weighbridge, for commercial waste disposal.
