Employment Contract: Full Time - Permanent

Salary: £39,619 to £42,363 (Non HGV), £43,482 to £46,942 (HGV)

Number of hours: 40

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager in the Household Collections Team.

You do not need a background in Waste and Recycling.

This is an essential role that, as part of a team of 4, will support the

co-ordination and management of domestic refuse and recycling collection services.

As part of the team, you will be responsible for strategic planning as well as operational delivery, promoting a culture of exemplary service provision, effective health and safety protocols and be customer focused.

SWISCo Managers lead by example and display high professional standards and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate these values, have demonstrable experience of successfully managing large groups of staff, delivering services, and translating strategic objectives into operational actions.

We are looking for someone who is able to manage employee performance effectively, support and undertake training, and be proactive with HR related disciplines including managing attendance, investigations, and hearings. Investigate and respond to customer complaints in a concise and timely manner. Co-ordinate the day-to-day operational delivery of the service, leading, managing, and motivating teams.

Using innovation and creativity, you will support the Waste and Recycling Collections Service Manager and Head of Waste and Business Systems to develop and implement service improvement plans and processes ensuring that SWISCo delivers effective and efficient services that meets all its statutory responsibilities.

HGV Class 2 licence is desirable but not essential.

 

Weekend (one in 7) & Bank holiday working required with days off in lieu.

Working in a shift rota between 5.30am to 6.30pm - Early, Days, Late
